The organization also supports community dialogues. This is to help address negative health issues such as low latrine coverage, low antenatal care (ANC) attendance as well as low immunization coverage. The participants are sensitized on the importance of expectant mothers visiting health facilities for ANC services at least four times, skilled delivery and post-natal care services. They are also sensitized on ownership and proper usage of latrine and how to construct the latrines using materials available within their locality. Emphasis is also put on hand washing in order to curb and reduce diseases caused by diarrheal cases .
We have programs that support hand washing sensitizations in schools. This mostly target primary schools where children are trained on proper hand washing and the importance of washing hands. Additionally, the organization in partnership with other stakeholders support commemoration of the global hand washing Day. Further, in partnership with the Ministry of Health the organization supports supplementary feeding in the ECDs that fall within the project coverage areas. This is done hand in hand with growth monitoring in the target ECD centres.
